Tinkercad Block Code Skill: Real Block Code with Claude

A skill I built for Claude. It understands Tinkercad block code, translates it to Arduino C and draws the block structure as a real image.

From prompt to block code: Tinkercad blocks and Claude

AI tools are good at writing Arduino code, but when it comes to Tinkercad's block code they usually guess. Since I work with block code in my robotics coding lessons, I wanted to give Claude a real skill for it.

What it does

  • Clarifies the idea: Turns a student's project idea into something concrete with a few questions.
  • End-to-end proposal: Suggests the circuit, block code and Arduino C code together.
  • Two-way translation: Converts Tinkercad block code to Arduino C, and C code back to blocks.
  • Real visuals: Renders the block structure with the real Blockly rendering engine, so you get the same blocks you'd see in Tinkercad, not a rough sketch.

In the video I walk through every step with a traffic light project, in plain language for parents and anyone who uses AI tools.

Try it yourself

The whole skill (SKILL.md) is public on GitHub. Add it to your own Claude account and try it out.
